Help

Everything you need to set Wardn up. Can't find an answer? Ask in our Discord server or email support@impto.tech.

Getting started

  1. Press Add to Discord on the home page and choose your server. You need the Manage Server permission there.
  2. Wardn asks only for the permissions it needs, not Administrator. Keep them all ticked, or some features won't work. Why Wardn needs each permission.
  3. Open Server Settings → Roles and drag the Wardn role above every role it should give or take away (verified, reaction roles, level rewards, mute). Discord only lets a bot manage roles below its own.
  4. Open your server on the dashboard and go to the Setup page. Tell Wardn what the server is for (community, gaming, shop or support) and it switches on the features that fit, creating any channels and roles they need or using ones you pick.
  5. Sign in at dash.wardn.tech and pick your server to fine-tune everything.

The dashboard

Sign in with Discord at dash.wardn.tech. You'll see every server where you have Manage Server and Wardn is present. Features are grouped into Essentials, Moderation, Community, Engagement, Support and Media.

Verification

Overview: Wardn as a Discord verification bot.

Verification keeps bots and raiders out: new members can't see your server until they press Verify.

Members press Verify, sign in with Discord in their browser, and get the Verified role. They can also choose to be added back if the server is ever lost (see below). It's optional: they're verified either way.

Anti-raid

Anti-raid is free and on in every server. If lots of accounts join at once (10 within 10 seconds, unless you change it), Wardn locks the server and posts an alert in your log channel.

The Advanced Anti-raid plugin adds scam link blocking, nuke protection and a button to ban or kick everyone who joined during a raid (see Plugins).

Member restore Premium to restore

If your server is raided, deleted or taken over, member restore brings the people who verified and agreed into a new server. Every server can collect opt-ins and create its restore key for free; restoring them needs Premium.

  1. Members verify with web verification and tick the box to be added back. Members who got the Verified role during /verification setup aren't protected until they press Verify themselves.
  2. The server owner keeps a key: run /restore key and save the key somewhere safe, such as a password manager. Anyone with the key can restore your members, so don't share it. Do this now: a deleted server can't run commands.
  3. Restore: in the new server, add Wardn, then run /restore pull with your key. Members are added back with the Verified role. This needs Premium on the original server or the new one. The original server's Premium covers it, so you don't pay twice.

See who's protected: /restore stats and the dashboard overview show how many members are protected. Restore only brings back members who verified and agreed before the server was lost.

Move your Premium to the new server: in the dashboard, open the new server → Plan & billing → Move Premium here. Pick the original server, or, if it's gone, paste its restore key. Plugins and billing move with it.

Members stay in control: they can remove themselves at any time with /restore forget, or by removing Wardn's access under Discord → Settings → Authorised Apps. Their sign-in is stored encrypted and only used to add them back to your server. If Wardn is removed from your server, opt-ins are kept for 6 months so you can still restore, then deleted.

Tickets

Overview: Wardn as a Discord ticket bot.

  1. Dashboard → Support → Tickets: choose the category new tickets go in and the support roles that can see them.
  2. Post the panel with /ticket panel. Members press the button (or use /ticket open) to open a private ticket channel.
  3. Staff can /ticket add or /ticket remove people, /ticket rename the ticket and /ticket close it. Closing asks for confirmation, then saves a transcript.

Tickets Pro Premium: up to 25 ticket categories with subcategories, question forms members fill in when opening a ticket, claiming and priority, ratings when a ticket closes, auto-close for inactive tickets, ticket counters, and HTML transcripts that can be viewed online with a private link. The free plan includes one category and text transcripts.

Moderation & auto-mod

Welcome, roles & community

Levels, economy & giveaways

Premium & billing

Premium is £5 a month or £50 a year per server. It adds restoring members into a new server, Tickets Pro, unlimited reaction roles and giveaways, staff applications, level role rewards and rank cards, all welcome and leave card templates and your own image, temporary voice channels, YouTube alerts, stats counters, server backups, and your own embed colour and footer.

Plugins

Plugins are optional add-ons for Premium servers, each billed monthly on top of Premium. Get them from your server's Plugins page in the dashboard.

If a server's Premium ends, its plugins pause and aren't charged for until Premium is active again.

Commands

Every command works as a slash command (type /) and with the + prefix, e.g. +help. Prefix commands keep their one-word names, so /ticket open is +new and /music pause is +pause. Use /help in Discord for the full list for your server.

Troubleshooting

Wardn can't give a role

Move the Wardn role above that role in Server Settings → Roles, and check Wardn still has Manage Roles.

A command says it's switched off

An admin turned it off, or its feature is off. Check the feature's page in the dashboard.

"This is part of Wardn Premium"

That feature needs Premium on this server. Upgrade from the dashboard's Billing page.

I can't see my server in the dashboard

You need the Manage Server permission there, and Wardn must be in the server. Sign out and back in to refresh your server list.

The slash commands don't show up

Give Discord a minute after adding Wardn, then restart your Discord app. Check that the Use Application Commands permission isn't blocked in that channel.

Music

Music is temporarily unavailable while we fix playback.

Still stuck? Open a ticket in Wardn's Discord server, or email support@impto.tech with your server's name, what you did and what happened, and a screenshot if you can.
